Tea Party Where Is My Toast?

The current state of our economy, unemployment and our overspending has brought together approximately 20% of our voting population to a tipping point that is spilling over into tea party demonstrations all across the United States. Most pictures I have seen of the protests depict fed up white bearded males carrying signs comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler. You can’t judge a book by its cover so when the demonstration came to Hartford I went in for a closer look.

Yes it is true that a majority of the protesters were white but they were not all white and they certainly were not all male. The split of the sexes seemed a bit more like 60% male and 40% female. In my opinion (at least for the people who gathered in Hartford, CT) the protesters were mostly frustrated with the fact that they have been left without a say and they do plan to change that fact this coming November by heading to the polls. The Hartford crowd was estimated to be about 1500. I did take some photos and they are below for your viewing. Bottom line: in favor of the tea party or against it if you want to feel represented you must vote!
